LPG CONVERSION SERVICE

WHO WE ARE...

Our journey started in 2002 through CNG conversion. As LPG started moving we started setting up LPG stations and LPG conversion of vehicles in 2016 with skilled manpower and quality products from Italy and Turkey. We started LPG conversion of vehicles at the beginning of LPG use in vehicles in Bangladesh. We are one of the first LPG conversion workshops to convert vehicles in Bangladesh with the latest technology of LPG conversion known as the Fifth Generation Sequential Injection System. Green fuel technologies limited offers the best LPG conversion service with high quality and great care.

USE OF LPG AS ALTERNATIVE VEHICLE FUEL Auto GAS

Most of the cars that we use are conventional (Gasoline / Diesel) fuel run vehicles. Although the history of Autogas (LPG) in global vehicles is very old, in our country it started to become popular since 2015. Germany started using Autogas in 1940s. Since our country had abundant natural gas and the CNG price was very low, the country was not moved to Autogas Conversion and the benefit of LPG was ignored. From 2015, due to shortage of Natural Gas and many benefits of LPG over CNG the use of LPG in vehicles started moving. At present a large number of vehicles are converting from gasoline to LPG or CNG to LPG and every day LPG is winning the heart of users for its multi fold of benefits.

WHAT IS AUTOGAS (LPG for vehicles)

LPG is also called clean or green fuel. (Liquefied Petroleum Gas/LPG) is a mixture of propane (C3H8) and butane (C4H10) gas suitable for vehicle fuel use. This fuel is also more efficient and safer for the engine. The level of air pollution and solid waste produced by LPG combustion is extremely low. Autogas emits 90% less pollutants and carbon dioxide than black smoke from petrol-powered cars. LPG has a high octane rating (RON 102-108) which strengthens the internal combustion of the engine and produces more power at a lower cost.

benefit of lpg at a glance:

ADVANTAGES OF LPG COMPARING TO OTHER ALTERNATIVE FUEL

  1. Due to the high calorific value in LPG, mileage and performance are almost equal to octane or petrol and there is no damage to the engine because the car engine runs like octane. Also, LPG does not generate excess heat and does not accumulate carbon inside the engine, resulting in better engine condition.

  2. At present the price of 1 liter of octane is Tk 130 against which the LPG gas price is around 50-60 tk/ltr. Fuel consumption savings of at least 50%-60% are possible through octane to LPG conversion of vehicles. This savings are possible through petrol to LPG conversion also.

  3. LPG vehicles can travel 3 to 4 times more distance using the same amount of gas as CNG vehicles. The filling capacity of LPG is 80% while CNG is only 25%. 60 liters of CNG can travel 80 to 90 km in the capital because this 60 liters of CNG gas contains air. Again, while taking CNG, how much gas will enter the car depends on the pressure of the filling station. Pressure does not matter in case of LPG. So the car can travel 300 to 400 km on a full tank of gas. As a result, there is no need to worry about taking gas every day.

  4. The weight of the cylinder used in the vehicle for storing LP gas is about one-third of the weight of the CNG cylinder. CNG gas pressure should be more than 200 bar (BAR). Whereas LPG has a pressure of only 7.5 bar (BAR). Where the circumference and length of a 60-liter CNG cylinder are 1054 and 1016 mm respectively. A 60-liter CNG cylinder weighs 62 kg. There, the circumference and length of LPG cylinder are 314 and 863 mm respectively and 60 liter LPG cylinder weighs only 22 kg. CNG gas produces 200 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit of heat in the engine due to its dryness. LP gas has this temperature of only 131 degrees Fahrenheit. On the other hand, as LP gas cylinders weigh less than CNG gas cylinders, it puts relatively less pressure on the vehicle’s suspension. Cars converted to LPG can cover more distance per liter of LPG due to lighter weight.

  5.  Like Octane, LPG filling can be done from the pump at any time of the day without any line or serial trouble. Although CNG stations in the capital are closed for a certain time every day, LPG filling stations can supply gas round the clock. Unlike CNG filling stations, LPG stations do not require long queues to get gas. It takes 2-3 minutes to take LP gas. Where it takes double time to get CNG.

  6.  LP gas emits less carbon than CNG. LPG cylinder pressure is only 3 and half percent compared to CNG cylinder. So there is no risk of explosion. CNG has 25 percent system loss, whereas LPG has only 5 percent system loss. LPG is safer than CNG. LPG is stored at a pressure of only 3.0-7.5 bar (CNG 200-250 bar). As a result there is no risk of LPG cylinder explosion.

  7. Conversion of car to LPG saves time and money as the car does not need different grade of engine oil and the maintenance cost of the car is much less.

  8. Use of LPG reduces air pollution. It is widely popular as an environmentally friendly fuel. LPG emits 33% less carbon dioxide (Co2) than petrol and 45% less than diesel. LPG vehicles emit 82% less nitrogen oxide pollution than petrol and 99% less than diesel. Also, LPG vehicles emit 63% less carbon monoxide.

  9. The cost of LPG conversion is not very high. The installation system of LPG in car is very easy and cheap. But a vehicle must have the LPG conversion service from an authorized workshop.

TYPES OF LPG CONVERSION

Generally, LPG conversion can be done in 2 ways. They are traditional and sequential conversion.

Traditional LPG system is an old system of car conversion which manually controls the injection system. In traditional LPG conversion system tuning is done by hand/manual system. Due to manual tuning, gas is passed to the car engine, cylinder through gas mixer with air. As a result, your car’s gas consumption may be slightly higher. But the advantage of this system is that you can get your car tuned from any LPG Conversion Center due to the car tuning done by hand/manual system.

In Sequential LPG Conversion system, vehicle tuning is done in a fully computerized system. By doing this, the correct amount of LPG (LPG) flows from the cylinder to the engine through the injector, resulting in lower gas consumption of your vehicle. As LPG is a liquid gas, the engine temperature is normal like that of oil. Your car doesn’t need frequent tuning, just an occasional air filter cleaning. Drive performance is very smooth in sequential system.

SEQUENTIAL LPG CONVERSION

In Sequential LPG Conversion system, vehicle tuning is done in a fully computerized system. By doing this, the correct amount of LPG flows from the cylinder to the engine through the injector, resulting in lower gas consumption of your vehicle. As LPG is a liquid gas, the engine temperature is normal like that of oil. Your car doesn’t need frequent tuning, just an occasional air filter cleaning. Drive performance is very smooth in sequential system

TRADITIONAL LPG CONVERSION

Traditional conversion is an older system of LPG car conversion that manually controls the injection system. Some of the important parts of traditional conversion systems are reducers/regulators, solenoid valves and mixers.

The solenoid valve is installed in the fuel line between the tank and the engine. This valve cuts off the flow of LPG when the vehicle is running on petrol. Also, when the engine is off. It has a filter that removes dirt that may be in the fuel.

The reducer, much like a petrol engine carburetor, uses heat from the vehicle’s coolant to vaporize LPG into gas form.

The mixer takes information from the vehicle’s sensors and then controls the amount of LPG flowing into the cylinder.

The system is wired into the vehicle’s electrical system, with a functional fuel gauge that allows automatic switching between LPG and petrol.

As there is no computer control over the flow of LPG in the car engine, a uniform flow of LPG mixture enters the combustion chamber and burns with the help of sparks generated by the spark plugs mounted on the cylinder head of the car.

CNG TO LPG CONVERSION

A CNG run vehicle can be converted into LPG by doing some modification in the system. The process is explained below:

In this process the existing CNG Cylinder kept and used for storing LPG in it. Only some components of the Kit are replaced or modified. By the process, you can convert your CNG vehicle into LPG and go back to CNG system again when requred.

The benefit of this is:

  1. Very low cost solution.
  2. Can be done very quickly .
  3. Help you to enjoy the test of using LPG as TEST DRIVE

This system have some disadvantages alos:

  1. You will still carrying heavy weight CNG Cylinder
  2. Your dashboard meter may not show exact level of gas in the tank (but you can still see the level from meter fixed on the tank.
