SEQUENTIAL LPG KIT
Components of a Sequential LPG Conversion Kit:
- LPG Tank (Cylinder or Toroidal)
- Stores the LPG in liquid form.
- Comes with multivalve for safety and functionality.
- Multivalve
- Mounted on the LPG tank.
- Controls filling, supply, level indication, and safety cut-off.
- LPG Reducer/Regulator (Vaporizer)
- Converts liquid LPG into vapor.
- Maintains constant pressure for the injectors.
- Often heated by engine coolant to prevent freezing.
- LPG Injectors
- Inject vaporized LPG into the intake manifold.
- Controlled electronically to match fuel injection timing.
- Electronic Control Unit (ECU)
- Manages the LPG injection timing and amount.
- Interfaces with the original petrol ECU to mimic fuel behavior.
- Changeover Switch (Fuel Selector Switch)
- Allows the driver to switch between LPG and petrol modes.
- Displays fuel levels and operating status.
- LPG Filter
- Filters out impurities before LPG reaches the injectors.
- Can be in liquid or vapor phase depending on placement.
- Fuel Lines (Copper or Flexible Hoses)
- Transport LPG from the tank to the engine.
- Must be pressure-resistant and compliant with safety regulations.
- Coolant Hoses
- Connect the engine cooling system to the vaporizer.
- Required to prevent the vaporizer from freezing.
- Wiring Harness
- Connects all electronic components to the LPG ECU.
- Pressure and Temperature Sensors
- Monitor system performance and help the ECU adjust injection parameters.
- LPG Level Sensor
- Mounted on the multivalve or tank.
- Indicates remaining LPG for the dashboard switch.
A sequential LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) conversion kit is an advanced system designed to convert a petrol engine to run on LPG, offering improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. Unlike traditional LPG systems, the sequential kit injects LPG into each cylinder in a precise, timed manner, mimicking the operation of a modern petrol fuel injection system. This results in smoother engine performance, better fuel economy, and more accurate control over fuel-air mixture. The kit typically includes components such as an ECU (Electronic Control Unit), injectors, a pressure regulator, and sensors, all working together to ensure optimal performance. Sequential LPG kits are particularly suited for modern vehicles with electronic fuel injection systems, providing a cleaner and more cost-effective alternative to petrol.
